Yes the still have a buffet lunch but I think it's only during the week
Jazz, Maybe on menu, but I haven't seen it in the buffet. Give Soil a call at 462-5288
About $13
This place wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t extremely great. The service was slow cause they were short staffed but the restaurant was pretty clean. We got two sushi rolls for $23; idk if we would go again.
We love this restaurant!! It has our favorite Japanese food. I always get the Deluxe Nigiri Sushi dinner. They are very nice people and always very friendly. We LOVE it.
Teriyaki was cold, sushi was plain and lukewarm. Brother ordered a drink that never came. Ordered it again, still never came. Poor experience. 2 stars because our waitress was very nice
Fine location for Japanese food. service is always nice even when they have a full house. had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again. i see why this place has a lot of great reviews.
Lunch buffet is delicious! Lots to choose from
Great quality seafood, amazing service and delicious cooked item's as well. If you've never been you are missing out~
Delicious.. the Best Sushi in Capitola... Fresh and locally owned!
Small family run sushi restaurant
Both times my son and I have gone, we have had to run to nearest restroom. The food tastes good....but something is not right!!! We dont ever have this problem at other Japanese restaurants
One of my favorite places to it lunch.
I've been going there for more than 20 years now, since I was a small child. The staff has always been friendly and endearing. The food has been the best I've had. I cannot recommend this place enough!
The staff here is always friendly, and their Buffet is pretty tasty. The Teriyaki wings are the best.
My favorite place to have sushi. Amazing hand rolls and the fish is always fresh. I recommend the cooked salmon skin hand roll. You will not be disappointed. If you are going out to sushi I 100 percent recommend this place.
This little place serves truly delightful Japanese cuisine. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. It is easy to see that the owners and employees take pride in their work, and I would visit again in a heartbeat.
Been before w better results...this time service was slow, partners meal came 5 min after mine, food was ok....may not try again
Great food ,over priced
Great place to find sushi. Prices are what you expect, but if you go there at lunch during the weekdays, their buffet is a really sweet deal.
Very good food, clean and also a good service.
Delicious food! I missed their lunch buffet!
They have the authentic and fresh sashimi in town, salmon, uni, and tuna.. They also have the best salmon skin hand roll compared to others. I also like to order combo tempura with vegi and shrimp. Quality is pretty consistent ever since I have been there more than 6 times!
I like the food is a little over price for what it is but good
Nice, small locals spot. The owner is very nice and helpful.
Wonderful lunch buffet. Nice, simple variety, reasonably priced. Very tasty.
I visit this lovely spot a lot! This is my favorite place to grab a bite. I visit this spot many times. The cooking is fantastic, the staff members are courteous and the prices are reasonable. I enjoy being in this spot over a tasty dinner.
Great place for quick in and out lunches
Finally open for to go and our meal was so delicious!
As usual a great place. Nice to relax as well.
Fish is fresh & tasty, and the people are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Our favorite sushi spot.
Good food medium choices sake and the fish wasn't the best cut in town but the service is fantastic and it's just a comfy place to be.
Great food and service
Amazing everything from the Japanese beer to the fresh fish you cant go wrong
A pearl hidden away.. The place Is surrounded in darkness from the outside but once you're inside the light engulfs the place and brings a cozy atmosphere to the room. The room itself has simple decor that gives it a nice feel. The waiter and waitress were patient and thoughtfull when presented with questions regarding the sushi. Shortly after I anticipated a long wait but to my dismay it was brought swiftly. It was presented beautifully on a gaint planter. Throughout the meal we were checked up multiple times. The food itself was heavenly, I got the Dragon roll and the shrimp tempura (deep fried). The presentation was neat and the taste was a whirlwind of flavors and textures. The shrimp tempura had a nice crunch to it and mouth full of flavor coexisting with one another. I only wish they would have drizzled more sauce upon the rolls as some needed more than others. Overall, I expect myself to come here again as my first time was a great experience.
This is for their lunch Buffet. This place is very nice. They keep fresh sushi constantly cumming out and have a very sides. My favorite is the pineapple beef and chicken. Missing a star because the price is high enough they should have a better selection of Sushi out. Usually only three choices and they are very plain.Besides that, they constantly run the exact same TV shows every day. Its really odd. But still a nice lunch!
Probably better at the restaurant, I would not door dash this place again. Not worth the $, none of the fish tasted fresh, there was still skin on the fish on some of the rolls (don’t know if that was intentional?) the seaweed in the rolls tasted really old and pungent (I understand some people might like that but I tend to like clean fresh flavors). Sorry, I didn’t eat more then 1 bite of each roll. 😞
A simple/great lunch buffet. Its been open with multiple, but always great owners for over 20 years. Wow... Where does the time go?Its a place to get lunch, when you want a fresh buffet option, that is easy and priced great. Its the simple rolls, and tempura veggies, fried pot stickers, etc, but its nice, and EASY.
Sushi was fabulous. However I never got the sake I ordered, food was very slow to come and a bit on the pricey side. Normally places will give complimentary miso, here I think they charged 2 dollars per tiny bowl. They did have soy beans complimentary but I don't find those appetizing. They are child friendly!
The wait staff was nice. The young white girl who was not our waitress was particularly kind & helpful. The sushi chef said goodbye as we departed which is always a warming gesture. On the down side, the sushi rolls seemed wet. It was weird and affected all 3 of our rolls.
Excellent fresh Japanese food. Great daily lunch buffet.
Lunch buffet is always fantastic.
This place is yummy. Good food and timely service. Coming from a culinary background, this place hits the spot for decent fish. I really like their nigiri and specials.
Good food, great service. I recommend!
In my opinion the best sushi in town. A delicious dinner and a wonderful all you can eat lunch along with a tasteful ambience make this my favorite Japanese Diner in town.
Great service, small portions but high quality.
There is no better Sushi in Santa Cruz County. I would eat there more often if I could afford it!
They haven’t disappointed me and they treat me very kindly not once have they taken to long on my order and always make sure if anything is alright
They have authentic sushi offerings and offer nightly, creative Specials. They get busy in the evenings...They are open 7 days a week for dinner and offer lunch specials.Family-friendly environment, fairly small, so they fill up fast. They also offer beef, chicken, pork and salmon for non-sushi lovers.
This really is one of the best sushi places in the Santa Cruz area, sticking to a more traditional approach, without diverging into new-age 'fusion' nonsense too much. You can easily personalize your order of course, if you like. We've been coming here for 15+ years, it's very kid-friendly, and the owners are super nice. One small ding might be turnover rate in serving staff, yet staff is always on top of things and very courteous, so are hired/trained well. So, after all these years, in our household, 'sushi' is still synonymous with 'Miyako'!
I came here for the lunch buffet on a friday. The restaurant was not crowded, and the service was quick (drinks only). The buffet was good but not the greatest I have had. It had several options and they were fresh. I wish the sushi bar and food was better labeled.I would definitely come back
Always have drive past this sushi place and never have tried it until the other day we decided to go for lunch. Pretty awesome they have a lunch buffet during the week for very reasonable pricing. Everything was fresh and delicious.the service was very friendly and fast. Def a small.gem . I would recommend to anyone in the area. Plenty of parking.
Pleasantly surprised! Our first visit was a good one. Classy atmosphere, delicious food, reasonably priced, pleasant waitress. We'll definitely be back!
